What Is 1,4,6-etioallocholan-dione

1,4,6-etioallocholan-dione is a marketing term for also knows as ATD which is an aromatase inhibitor (AI) and is known for its estrogen control ability and its testosterone boosting effects. ATD is a supplement that inhibits the production of estrogen in the body by inhibiting the aromatase enzyme, the enzyme responsible for the conversion of testosterone to estrogen.

What is it used for?

It is a prohormone and precursor to testosterone which is derived from Androsterone. 1,4,6-etioallocholan-dione is a commonly used supplement in body building as it increases muscle mass, energy and strength by raising endogenous (naturally-occuring) levels of testosterone production. However, it will not raise hormones to the supraphysiological levels of prohormones or anabolic steroids.
When used by itself, 1,4,6-etioallocholan-dione raises  levels of testosterone production in the body, and when combined with aromatizing steroids such as 3A Hydroxyetioallocholan Ethyl Ester, it minimizes estrogenic side effects (loss of libido, water retention, gynecomastia). Not a huge amount of clinical information exists on this prohormone, however it falls under the ‘Andro’ banner as a testosterone booster.
